Ecommerce Under Web3: What Will Change?

As 2022 approaches, we are getting closer to a completely new web evolution that might result in brand-new eCommerce models. The next generation of social networking and e-commerce is not all that Web3 is. Many believe it will restructure important facets of society and have a significant impact on how we live our lives.

#Crypto, #blockchains, and #NFTs are the rallying cries of the #Web3 revolution, and they have already left their impact on the world. We will have to change to the new world order whether we like it or not.

For instance many people get confused why some one would pay more money for #NFTs like digital tweets. The answer is #NFTs are tools with many uses that happen to be built on an underlying technology that is non-fungible - meaning they have an immutable digital footprint on a blockchain.

#Web3 can influence #eCommerce in many ways:

  • Search engine optimization (SEO) - Studies show that about 81 percent of consumers find new goods and services online. As a result, SEO has been a very successful strategy for business marketing. However, #Web3 will alter how search engines appear, which will alter how SEO functions.

  • Upgraded online transactions - #Web3, which operates on dApps and blockchain, significantly increases the security of user data and online transactions. It can stop users' personal information from being stolen.

  • Decentralization - Web3 is distinguished by decentralization. Payments and communication, for example, will be two major aspects of #eCommerce that will be run on decentralized #blockchain #technologies. Additionally, blockchains function by decentralizing the storage of data across an ongoing ledger. Users will be able to participate in web protocols and receive greater benefits thanks to cryptocurrencies and NFT.

  • Metaverse Shopping - It is completely possible that you can open your own shopping mall on digital property in a high traffic metaverse, and rent out virtual cubicles to clients, who can then sell their NFTs such as artwork for example.

The bottom line

Despite the controversy surrounding #Web3, the #eCommerce industry will gain from the new web. More individuals will be willing to shop online in a market already propelled by the pandemic if transactions are faster and more safe. Web3's overall effects on #eCommerce will be favorable.
